Brits Petition Government: We Don’t Want Piers Morgan Back

Brits have responded to the petition calling on the White House to deport Piers Morgan for his anti-second amendment stance by lodging a petition of their own with UK Home Secretary Theresa May entitled ‘Stop Piers Morgan from being deported back to the UK from America’.

The original petition to deport Morgan for his unconstitutional rhetoric following the Sandy Hook school shooting has now achieved almost 70,000 signatures, well beyond the 25,000 required to mandate a White House response.

However, a counter-petition which features on the change.org website calls on the UK government to prevent Morgan from returning to the UK.

“We got rid of him once and why should we have to suffer again. The Americans wanted him so they should put up with him. We washed our hands of him a long time ago,” the petition reads.

The petition is authored by a user named “hackergate” and includes a YouTube video of the former News of the World editor testifying before the Leveson inquiry into the phone hacking scandal.

Morgan has been accused of being complicit in the scandal but only appeared in front of the inquiry via a video link from the United States. The CNN host’s claim that he had no knowledge of the phone hacking scandal was described by Lord Justice Leveson as “utterly unpersuasive”.

Morgan was hired by CNN as a prime time host despite the fact that he was fired from his editorial position at the Daily Mirror for publishing a fake news story in May 2004.

British television personality Jeremy Clarkson has also weighed in on the controversy over Morgan by tweeting a plea for him to remain in America.

“Americans. It took us 40 years to get rid of Piers Morgan. Please don’t send him back,” remarked Clarkson.

Morgan himself addressed the controversy, which quickly turned into a viral story after the petition was first lodged by Infowars.com, commenting yesterday, “Merry Christmas! Even to those who want me deported.”

As Infowars documented in a previous article, Morgan’s assault on the constitutional rights of American citizens is not protected under the first amendment because he is not a U.S. citizen.

Legal precedent suggests that Morgan could be deported from the United States for openly engaging in subversion by calling for Americans to be disarmed, but the fact that he has cultivated a friendly personal relationship with Barack Obama, something which denigrates his supposed impartiality on CNN further, makes that outcome a long shot.

Piers Morgan Faces Deportation… But Jeremy Clarkson Pleads ‘Don’t Send Him Back’

Sara C Nelson
Huffington Post

Piers Morgan’s popularity continues to plummet – not only is the petition calling for him to be deported now on more than 61,000 signatures, but Jeremy Clarkson has weighed into the fray, issuing a public plea that the chat show host is NOT returned to Britain.

The row erupted after CNN host Morgan attacked the right to bear arms in the wake of the Sandy Hook school massacre.

A gun lobby petition to deport Morgan is now well over the required threshold of 25,000 signatories – meaning the White House has an obligation to respond.

Now Morgan’s geographical location is on even shakier ground, after Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson tweeted a plea that the former British tabloid editor is not returned to his homeland.

Media Ignore Numerous School Massacres Stopped by Gun Owners Defending Children

J. D Heyes
Natural News

In the midst of all the anti-gun hysteria following the senseless murder of 26 people – 20 of them first graders – at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., one story that is repeatedly overlooked is how often a firearm has been used to save lives and stop senseless murders.

We here at Natural News believe the mainstream media, which so often overlooks these kinds of stories because they don’t fit into the statist government worldview held by the majority of news editors, has done a disservice to the public by ignoring these acts of selflessness and heroism.

With that in mind, we bring just some of the most recent high-profile incidents – including what could have been additional school massacres – that were stopped by law-abiding citizensusing their Second Amendment rights to protect themselves and others. Scores of individual uses that never get reported are not included here:

Pearl High School, Mississippi: This incident began the morning of Oct. 1, 1997, when 16-year-old student Luke Windham entered the school with a rifle. Wearing only an orange jumpsuit and a trench coat and making no effort to hide his weapon, he initially entered the school and shot and killed two students, injuring seven others. He was stopped by assistant principal Joel Myrick, who retrieved a .45 cal. handgun from the glove box of his truck.

CNN’s Piers Morgan Blows Up on Larry Pratt Over Gun Rights

Infowars.com

Gun Owners of America executive director Larry Pratt battled CNN host Piers Morgan in an epic debate over the merits of having an armed population who might be able to stop psychopathic shooters in the midst of a deluge of media and establishment cries for an end to gun rights.

Pratt appeared today on the Alex Jones Show to follow up on the appearance and refute the attacks handed him on CNN while attempting to bring clarity to a discussion intentionally muddied by exploiting the senseless tragedy against children.

Facebook Suspends Account For Questioning Official Narrative on Shooting

Despite the fact that the mainstream media got key facts wrong in early reporting

Paul Joseph Watson
Infowars.com

Facebook is suspending user accounts that question the official narrative behind the Sandy Hook school massacre, following a warning by Connecticut State Police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance that “misinformation” posted on social media sites could result in prosecution.

An image posted in the aftermath of the shootings that questioned whether “a clumsy 20-year-old autistic kid” could have pulled off the murders of 26 people was deleted and the user’s account hit with a three day suspension.

“I was informed the reason for this punishment was the result of a meme I had shared,” writes the editor of SecretsOfTheFed.com. “Facebook told me it “…violates Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities”. I was further warned that “If you continue to abuse Facebook’s features, your account could be permanently disabled.”

On Saturday, Connecticut state police warned that people posting “misinformation” on social media websites would be “investigated and prosecuted.”

However, this threat could apply to the vast majority of the mainstream media, who in their haste to get out ahead of the story reported numerous details that soon turned out to be completely incorrect.

- It was initially reported that Adam Lanza’s mother, the first victim of the rampage, was a teacher at the school, which was not true.

- It was initially reported that Lanza had also killed his father, which was not true.

- It was initially reported that the culprit behind the massacre was Ryan Lanza, Adam Lanza’s brother, which was not true.

- Initial reports that a “second gunman” arrested in the woods behind the school was involved in the massacre were later dropped without explanation.

Given that most of the “misinformation” about the shooting came from corporate media sources, the fact that Facebook is punishing users for asking questions about the proper sequence of events – essentially labeling such activity a thought crime – is a worrying development.

As we have previously highlighted, Facebook occasionally deletes images and posts that it claims violate “Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities,” yet constitute little more than political conjecture or a healthy skepticism of official narratives on current events.

In September 2011, Infowars reporter Darrin McBreen was told by Facebook staff not to voice his political opinion on the social networking website.

Responding to comments McBreen had made about off-grid preppers being treated as criminals, the “Facebook Team” wrote, “Be careful making about making political statements on facebook,” adding, “Facebook is about building relationships not a platform for your political viewpoint. Don’t antagonize your base. Be careful and congnizat (sic) of what you are preaching.”

The Mainstream Media Declares War on the 2nd Amendment

Melissa Melton
Infowars.com

When an armed man opened fire on a crowded shopping mall in Oregon last week, 22-year-old Nick Meli pulled out his concealed carry permitted gun, and took cover in a store before taking aim. “I know after he saw me, I think the last shot he fired was the one he used on himself,” Meli reported of the gunman’s suicide that followed to KGW News Channel 8. Two people died at the hands of the shooter before the man took his own life, but many more could have lost their lives in Oregon that day had Meli not been there.

Yesterday in San Antonio, Texas, two people were wounded in another movie theater shooting before an off-duty officer took the gunman down, wounding him and effectively ending the murder spree before anyone else could get hurt.

As with other shootings stopped by lawfully armed citizens, news about these two incidents has been widely limited to local media outlets and seemingly ignored otherwise. Why the mainstream blackout?

Even though the media has struggled with reporting the actual facts of the Connecticut shooting, all the national media outlets seem to have time to publish are propaganda pieces pushing gun control.

In Reuters this morning, one headline reads, “In Newtown, an Anguished Debate over Gun Rights, Controls,” and the subhead reads, “Two days after a gunman opened fire in a Connecticut elementary school, killing 26 people, several dozen parents and children gathered in a circle at Newtown’s public library to draw something positive from the town’s sudden, tragic notoriety” (emphasis added).

CNN’s Don Lemon used his airtime this morning to go on an anti-gun tirade, claiming mental health issues are secondary to gun availability.

Dr. Oz Flip-Flops as High-Profile Attacks on Organic Food Intensify

Katherine Paul, Ronnie Cummins
Alternet

America’s most popular TV doctor seems to have forgotten his own words that organic food is “worth the investment” and is instead trashing organics. Why the flip flop?

So you’re being told organic food is no more nutritious than conventional and it’s not worth your extra money. Well I’m here to say that it is worth the investment. Why do I say that? Pesticides.” – – Dr. Oz, Oct. 19, 2012

Less than two months after telling millions of TV viewers that organic food is “worth the investment,” America’s most popular TV doctor is singing a different tune. In the December issue of Time magazine, Dr. Oz described organic foodies as “elitist” – part of the 1% – and claimed that conventional foods are nutritionally equivalent to organic foods. According to Dr. Oz:

The rise of foodie culture over the past decade has venerated all things small-batch, local-farm and organic – all with premium price tags. But let’s be clear: you don’t need to eat like the 1% to eat healthily.

Suddenly, the pesticides Dr. Oz was so concerned about a couple of months ago, the ones he warned viewers were “one of the greatest threats to your kids’ health,” no longer matter. What’s more, if you’re spending extra money to avoid them, you’re a food snob – instead of a responsible, health-conscious parent.

Dr. Oz’s flip-flop is just the latest in a series of highly-publicized mass media attacks on organic food and farming. It follows on the heels of a much-ballyhooed, controversial Stanford University study, released in September. The Stanford study concluded that fruits and vegetables labeled organic were, on average, no more nutritious than their conventional – and far less expensive – counterparts.
