10 Predictions for 2013

Activist Post

This past year, 2012, was an eventful year. We had another Olympics, a U.S. presidential election, the warmest year on record, and lived through the Mayan apocalypse. However, many things did not occur that many of the trend seers predicted, especially dramatic events that made the boldest predictions.

As we enter 2013, time itself seems to be speeding up or condensing to make the potential for dramatic events more likely. Tipping points appear to have been breached on many fronts, and what waits on the other side is difficult to know.

But let’s break out the crystal ball here and make some bold predictions for 2013.

These predictions weren’t acquired by some esoteric powers to see the future; rather they’re derived from riding the current wave of information and guessing where that flow may lead. They may seem bold to some, while the most aware readers may recognize them as foregone conclusions.

So without further ado, here are our top 10 predictions for 2013:

1. Stock market decline: Many economic forecasters have been predicting a stock market crash every year since the financial crisis of 2008. Yet, it has remained strong and even hit a 3-year high in September, 2012. There are many false reasons for this strength that don’t have to do with real economic growth; devalued dollars, cheap money for Wall Street banks, corporations hoarding cash and investments, etc. It’s a false bull market. That is why we feel comfortable predicting a significant decline in the stock market during 2013.

The real economy has been papered over for decades, but the numbers in the false economycan no longer dam the wave of reality. Endless quantitative easing, a quadrillion in world derivatives, over-extended personal debt, lowest ever percentage of the population working, and increased social burden of record food stamps and other programs will finally burst the dam in 2013.

The Baltic Dry index, which is believed to be the best indicator of our consumer economy, suffered a dramatic loss in December. Some say a new recession is already here and the stock market will soon reflect that with a crash in 2013.  Look for the Dow Jones to dip below the 10K mark (around 30% or more) next year.

2. Precious metals rise over 50%: Using the same data points as the previous prediction, we predict gold and silver to rise at least 50%.

As the mass exodus from the stock market and other paper investments takes place, individual and institutional investors will start a new gold rush. Indeed, this is already happening.

Sheriff’s ‘Crowd Control’ Spy Drone Suspended After Privacy Uproar

Steve Watson
Infowars.com

A county Sheriff’s department in California that planned to buy and operate a surveillance drone has been forced to suspend the idea, and possibly scrap it altogether after privacy advocates fought tooth and nail in opposition.

The Oakland Tribune reports that the American Civil Liberties Union stepped in earlier this week to prevent the Alameda County Sheriff’s office from acquiring the drone using grant money from the California Emergency Management Agency.

“…the Sheriff’s Office was asking the supervisors on Tuesday to approve a $31,646 grant to help pay for a drone, indicating that the department was far closer to acquisition than they had led the public to believe.” the newspaper reports.

As County supervisors prepared to vote on accepting the grant money Tuesday, ACLU attorney Linda Lye said that the proposal would pave the way for police “spying,” adding that the sheriff is “not taking privacy issues seriously.”

The latest protests, following months of sustained opposition from civil rights attorneys and anti-drone activists including The Electronic Frontier Foundation, prompted the sheriff’s department and County board supervisors to rethink and postpone the plan.

Undersheriff Richard Lucia told supervisors that the department will wait until the plan has been “fully vetted publicly” and explicit authorization has been provided to proceed with the drone purchase.

Describing the inclusion of the drone plan on the agenda of the regular board meeting as “an oversight”, Lucia said that the $31,646 in grant money would either be sent back to Cal EMA or be used for something else should supervisors block the drone acquisition.

The Sheriff’s department wants to become the first law enforcement agency in the state to officially deploy technology previously used to hunt insurgents in Afghanistan.

Cheerios Removes App During Fury of Anti-GMO Backlash

Heather Callaghan
Activist Post

Cheerios just faced a humiliating public relations failure thanks to the undiscriminating nature of free speech through social media.

Just a few days ago, Cheerios (General Mills) released an app on Facebook asking ‘fans’ to gratefully show what Cheerios means to them. Users could write their own sentiments by placing Cheerios’ iconic black font over a yellow template, complete with little cheerios for periods and dots.

The app was yanked after only one day when their Facebook page (and photo album associated with the app) was flooded with a torrent of anti-GMO messages from angry consumers.

You could literally spend all day looking at ‘Recent Posts by Others’ on Cheerios’ Facebookpage – they are nearly all complaints about GMOs and declarations of boycotts.

Cheerios’ Facebook admins were hard pressed to keep up with the angry pics in plain view for everyone. They deleted most of them, but some screen shots still exist on Cheeseslave andhere. Other Pins included “Cancerous”, “Science Experiment”, “Cheerigmos”, “Colony Collapse Disorder”, “We are not guinea pigs” and more…

Brzezinski: “Populist Resistance” is Derailing the New World Order

Rise in “populist activism” a threat to “external control”

Paul Joseph Watson
Infowars.com

During a recent speech in Poland, former US National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski warned fellow elitists that a worldwide “resistance” movement to “external control” driven by “populist activism” is threatening to derail the move towards a new world order.

Calling the notion that the 21st century is the American century a “shared delusion,” Brzezinski stated that American domination was no longer possible because of an accelerating social change driven by “instant mass communications such as radio, television and the Internet,” which have been cumulatively stimulating “a universal awakening of mass political consciousness.”

The former US National Security Advisor added that this “rise in worldwide populist activism is proving inimical to external domination of the kind that prevailed in the age of colonialism and imperialism.”

Brzezinski concluded that “persistent and highly motivated populist resistance of politically awakened and historically resentful peoples to external control has proven to be increasingly difficult to suppress.”
