10 Predictions for 2013

Activist Post

This past year, 2012, was an eventful year. We had another Olympics, a U.S. presidential election, the warmest year on record, and lived through the Mayan apocalypse. However, many things did not occur that many of the trend seers predicted, especially dramatic events that made the boldest predictions.

As we enter 2013, time itself seems to be speeding up or condensing to make the potential for dramatic events more likely. Tipping points appear to have been breached on many fronts, and what waits on the other side is difficult to know.

But let’s break out the crystal ball here and make some bold predictions for 2013.

These predictions weren’t acquired by some esoteric powers to see the future; rather they’re derived from riding the current wave of information and guessing where that flow may lead. They may seem bold to some, while the most aware readers may recognize them as foregone conclusions.

So without further ado, here are our top 10 predictions for 2013:

1. Stock market decline: Many economic forecasters have been predicting a stock market crash every year since the financial crisis of 2008. Yet, it has remained strong and even hit a 3-year high in September, 2012. There are many false reasons for this strength that don’t have to do with real economic growth; devalued dollars, cheap money for Wall Street banks, corporations hoarding cash and investments, etc. It’s a false bull market. That is why we feel comfortable predicting a significant decline in the stock market during 2013.

The real economy has been papered over for decades, but the numbers in the false economycan no longer dam the wave of reality. Endless quantitative easing, a quadrillion in world derivatives, over-extended personal debt, lowest ever percentage of the population working, and increased social burden of record food stamps and other programs will finally burst the dam in 2013.

The Baltic Dry index, which is believed to be the best indicator of our consumer economy, suffered a dramatic loss in December. Some say a new recession is already here and the stock market will soon reflect that with a crash in 2013.  Look for the Dow Jones to dip below the 10K mark (around 30% or more) next year.

2. Precious metals rise over 50%: Using the same data points as the previous prediction, we predict gold and silver to rise at least 50%.

As the mass exodus from the stock market and other paper investments takes place, individual and institutional investors will start a new gold rush. Indeed, this is already happening.

Feinstein & Cuomo Admit Planning Australian Style Government Gun Buy Back

Dan Roberts
ammoland.com

News that a mandatory, government sponsored gun buy back scheme is in the planning stages emerged last Friday.

Friday is well known as the day of the week in the news cycle to release information or statements that is unusually controversial or ” bad news” , the theory being that the general public will be so distracted by the upcoming weekend that they will pay little if any attention.

Exploiting this common practice, word emerged at the end of last week that Congresswoman Dianne Feinstein and NY State Gov Andrew Cuomo are actively working on a planned govt fiat to seize lawfully owned private property without cause. In the form of an Australian style MANDATORY firearms buy back program, going so far as to tout that Countries program and so called positive results, while conveniently omitting the fact that Australia’s violent crime rate dramatically increased in the wake of the scheme and continues unabated.

While details are scant in both Feinstein’s and Cuomo’s press release on the plan, Cuomo was quoted as making it clear that the buyback would be compulsory and participation mandatory. Although it remains a question what the penalties for non compliance would be. Cuomo further added that they would make gun owners “an offer they can’t refuse” when referring to buyback amounts of up to 500 dollars.

Sounding more like a NY mafioso then a “leader” in a Free State with significant Constitutional Protections in the way. Cuomo’s offer serves not only to further reveal his elitist arrogance, but also highlights his ignorance, presuming that the owner of a 1 , 2 or 3000 dollar firearm (or multiple ones) would roll over and comply for a cash value orders of magnitude below retail values.

Also worthy of note is Dianne Feinstein’s previous quotes on the news program 60 Minutes several years ago. During her interview with Mike Wallace about the 1994 to 2004 Clinton Era“Assault Weapons Ban” , where Feinstein lamented the fact she felt the law didn’t go far enough and stated “If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them . . . Mr. and Mrs. America, turn ‘em all in, I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren’t here.”

This is the same Feinstein who admitted in another, different interview that when she felt threatened by terrorists, she carried a gun for self defense and stated “I carried a concealed weapon. I made the determination that if somebody was going to try to take me out, I was going to take them with me.” — 27 April 1995.

And Gov Cuomo has a taxpayer supplied 24/7 security detail armed with actual, real fully automatic “assault weapons” at his side and disposal for his safety and the safety of his loved ones.

There should now be overwhelming evidence to anyone with two brain cells to rub together that we are no longer being “led” by elected Officials that took their Oath of Office seriously, but by rulers, tyrants who would be Kings, no different then King George III. We might as well take down Old Glory from every State Capitol and the US Capitol in DC and replace it with the Union Jack, while we’re at it, we can rename Congress, Parliament, because there really are no significant recognizable differences between the yoke of tyranny we are under today and the one we threw off over 200 years ago.

If Feinstein’s and Cuomo’s plan is allowed to proceed even one step further without being vociferously and publicly protested and killed in utero, they will have effectively struck the match and lit the fuse on a Second American Revolution.

California Lawmakers Take Aim at Gun Rights

Steven Greenhut
capoliticalreview.com

It took only days before California’s legislators reacted to the horrific Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy with a fusillade of bills designed to take California closer to Democratic leaders’ unstated but obvious goal: making it essentially illegal for Californians to own firearms.

I write “essentially” because the strategy isn’t to ban guns outright, but to mire ownership in so many layers of regulation that owning a gun becomes even more frustrating and costly than operating a business in this state. Legislators aren’t stupid. Direct assaults on gun ownership generate pushback, but killing this constitutional right through a thousand cuts is less confrontational.

California already has the toughest gun regulations of any state, yet legislators (including a Republican) have introduced a long list of new proposals at news conferences where they used the Connecticut tragedy to grandstand.

Deport Piers Morgan Petition Receives More than 60,000 Signatures

Kurt Nimmo
Infowars.com

On Monday Piers Morgan attempted to divert attention away from a petition to deport him by tweeting about the murder of two firefighters.

“I don’t care about petition to deport me. I do care about poor NY firefighters murdered/injured with an assault weapon today,” the CNN host tweeted.

The man suspected in the murders was an ex-convict who had served time for killing his grandmother with a hammer. Ex-convicts are prevented by law from owning firearms. News reports said he used a rifle to shoot the firefighters. Anti-Second Amendment advocates like Piers Morgan are fond of using the term “assault weapon” to describe any firearm.

Strict gun laws like the 1994 Crime Act and Clinton’s federal assault weapons ban did not reduce crime and would not have prevented the murders in New York. “Criminals get their guns from the black market and stealing and not from federally licensed dealers,” Kelly Whitley of the NRA said in 2002, two years before the federal ban on so-called assault weapons expired.

More than 60,000 people have signed the petition to deport Morgan posted on the White House website by Infowars.com on Friday.

The Obama administration has promised to address all petitions receiving over 25,000 signatures within a 30 day period. The Infowars.com petition received that number within 48 hours.

Women Suing State Troopers Over Roadside Cavity Searches

Adan Salazar
Infowars.com

Two Texas women have filed a federal suit against two state troopers and their department head after being forced to undergo a humiliating “roadside body cavity search” during a routine traffic stop in July.

According to NBC DFW, “The lawsuit further alleges that [trooper Kelley] Helleson performed searches on both women, touching both their anus and vaginas, without changing the latex gloves between searches.”

Footage of the incident was caught by one of the trooper’s dash-cams and shows in horrific detail how the two women, Angel Dobbs, 38, and her niece, Ashley Dobbs, 24, were made to submit to invasive grope-downs in full view of passing motorists.

The stop begins, innocently enough, with trooper David Farrell pulling the two ladies over for allegedly throwing cigarette butts out of their windows, which they denied.

Afterwards, the state trooper, is heard radioing a female officer requesting her assistance with a search he intended to perform.

The officer returns to their car and, out of nowhere, asks the two women, “How much marijuana is in that car? And don’t lie to me,” to which a woman replies, “I don’t smoke marijuana.” The initial exchange was transcribed by NBC:

Feinstein’s assault weapons ban would abolish the 2nd Amendment

Feinstein's proposed ban would abolish the 2nd Amendment, just like the Patriot Act abolished the 4th.

The Washington Times

TAMPA, December 18, 2012 –U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein has vowed to introduce a bill to ban assault weapons nationwide, similar to existing legislation in California. In doing so, she will effectively abolish yet another of the first ten amendments to the Constitution.

To many, Feinstein’s argument might sound very reasonable. She isn’t looking to ban all guns. “The purpose of this bill is to get just what Mayor Bloomberg said, weapons of war off the streets of our cities,” the senator told Meet the Press.

Having weapons of war on the streets is the whole point of the 2nd Amendment. The amendment wasn’t drafted to ensure that Americans could hunt. It wasn’t drafted so that Americans could protect themselves, although the natural right to defend one’s life was never as compromised as it is in the modern gun control era.

Like most of the amendments in the Bill of Rights, the 2nd Amendment was drafted to prevent an abuse of power that American colonists had suffered under the British. The 4th Amendment was passed with Writs of Assistance in mind. Lexington and Concord inspired the 2nd.

The left loves to reduce the American Revolution to one issue: taxation without representation. That works for well for their agenda, because they can then say, “Well, you’re represented, so now we can tax the living daylights out of you.”

It wasn’t that simple, of course. There were many long term and short term causes for the American secession from Great Britain. But the straw that broke the camel’s back, the most immediate cause for armed resistance, was the British attempt to disarm the colonists.

That’s why the British marched to Concord. That’s the only reason the colonists cared where they were marching.

They weren’t out to confiscate hunting rifles, “fer squirrels and sech,” either. They intended to confiscate a store of arms that would outfit the average colonist with weapons roughly equivalent to the average British infantryman.

That’s why the 2nd Amendment was written, to ensure that the government’s army would never have superior firepower to the people.

These are facts and they really aren’t in dispute. Yet, consider the responses you get when you present them. They range from mistaken to ridiculous. Let’s start with the ridiculous.

Nancy Pelosi, House Democrats Demand Action On Assault Weapons Ban

huffingtonpost.com

More than two dozen House Democrats, led by Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), called for immediate action Wednesday to address gun control in the wake of Friday’s massacre in Newtown, Conn. — beginning with a vote on legislation that would prohibit the manufacturing of high-capacity magazines as early as this week.

“Here in Congress, what we need now are not more words. What we need is action,” Pelosi told reporters on Capitol Hill. “We must be able to tell our children that we are doing everything in our power to prevent this from happening again.”

Pelosi called on House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to bring legislation banning the manufacturing of high capacity magazines to the House floor for a vote by Saturday. The bill, which is being pushed by Reps. Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.) and Diana DeGette (D-Colo.), mirrors legislation introduced by Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) in the Senate. It would ban magazines holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition and prohibit the transfer, possession or importation of those weapons that are manufactured after the law is signed.

Even without Congress, Obama could act to restrict guns

Unburdened by re-election worries and empowered by law to act without Congress, U.S.President Barack Obama could take action to improve background checks on gun buyers, ban certain gun imports and bolster oversight of dealers.

Prospects for gun control legislation intensified in the wake of the school massacre in Newtown, Connecticut, as more pro-gun rights lawmakers said on Monday they were open to the possibility while Obama and three cabinet members met at the White House to discuss the subject.

Having just won a second four-year term, Obama does not need to fear alienating voters who favor gun rights and he could press ahead without lawmakers on fronts where federal law enables executive action.

Speaking in Newtown, where a gunman on Friday killed 20 children and six adults in an elementary school, Obama vowed late on Sunday to “use whatever power this office holds” to try to prevent such massacres.

“Because what choice do we have? We can’t accept events like this as routine,” Obama said at Newtown High School.

His administration has the power to issue executive orders or new rules, options that Obama is likely to consider in combination with possible new laws.

TSA Detains Young Girl in Wheelchair With No Explanation

Fox

Shelbi Walser, 12, was on her way to Florida with her mom for medical treatment. Shelbi has a genetic bone disorder and makes the trip to Tampa from her hometown of Dallas on a regular basis; she’s never had an issue, until recently.

TSA agents stopped Shelbi on her last trip, saying they couldn’t tell her mom why she’d been taken to the side for further screening. Agents refused to let the 12-year-old’s mother to come near her, and she became increasingly scared, beginning to cry.

After nearly an hour of waiting, they told Shelbi and her mother that she had tested positive for ‘explosive residue’ on her hands, and they needed even further screening.

Facebook Suspends Account For Questioning Official Narrative on Shooting

Despite the fact that the mainstream media got key facts wrong in early reporting

Paul Joseph Watson
Infowars.com

Facebook is suspending user accounts that question the official narrative behind the Sandy Hook school massacre, following a warning by Connecticut State Police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance that “misinformation” posted on social media sites could result in prosecution.

An image posted in the aftermath of the shootings that questioned whether “a clumsy 20-year-old autistic kid” could have pulled off the murders of 26 people was deleted and the user’s account hit with a three day suspension.

“I was informed the reason for this punishment was the result of a meme I had shared,” writes the editor of SecretsOfTheFed.com. “Facebook told me it “…violates Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities”. I was further warned that “If you continue to abuse Facebook’s features, your account could be permanently disabled.”

On Saturday, Connecticut state police warned that people posting “misinformation” on social media websites would be “investigated and prosecuted.”

However, this threat could apply to the vast majority of the mainstream media, who in their haste to get out ahead of the story reported numerous details that soon turned out to be completely incorrect.

- It was initially reported that Adam Lanza’s mother, the first victim of the rampage, was a teacher at the school, which was not true.

- It was initially reported that Lanza had also killed his father, which was not true.

- It was initially reported that the culprit behind the massacre was Ryan Lanza, Adam Lanza’s brother, which was not true.

- Initial reports that a “second gunman” arrested in the woods behind the school was involved in the massacre were later dropped without explanation.

Given that most of the “misinformation” about the shooting came from corporate media sources, the fact that Facebook is punishing users for asking questions about the proper sequence of events – essentially labeling such activity a thought crime – is a worrying development.

As we have previously highlighted, Facebook occasionally deletes images and posts that it claims violate “Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities,” yet constitute little more than political conjecture or a healthy skepticism of official narratives on current events.

In September 2011, Infowars reporter Darrin McBreen was told by Facebook staff not to voice his political opinion on the social networking website.

Responding to comments McBreen had made about off-grid preppers being treated as criminals, the “Facebook Team” wrote, “Be careful making about making political statements on facebook,” adding, “Facebook is about building relationships not a platform for your political viewpoint. Don’t antagonize your base. Be careful and congnizat (sic) of what you are preaching.”
